Kim’s team frames this as her evolution into a “Murphy muse,” highlighting her resilience after the previous scripted outing.
Insiders whisper the deal is risky given the “0% fresh” reception and Slate calling the last show “one of the worst.”
Page Six reports talks began Feb 2026; “All’s Fair” debuted Nov 2025 with 0% score; Farina charges $750/hour.
Kim’s loyalty to Murphy is real, but the industry’s patience may be running thin after the critical carnage.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly getting back on the Hollywood horse, it seems. Despite the critical carnage surrounding her last scripted outing, insiders tell Page Six she is considering saddling up with the mogul again. The reality star is currently in talks with Ryan Murphy regarding a new series he is stitching up on Melinda Farina, the so-called “Beauty Broker.” This potential collaboration marks a bold step for the Skims tycoon, who has become something of a Murphy muse following her appearance in 2023’s “American Horror Story: Delicate.” Murphy is known for injecting and filling the same actors into multiple projects, but this time the risk is higher given the reception of her recent work.
The context for this new deal is a recent disaster. Back in November, “All’s Fair,” a legal drama starring Kardashian and Naomi Watts, debuted with a stunning “0% fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critical response was brutal, with Slate calling it “maybe one of the worst shows of all time.” The Guardian went even further, labeling the project “fascinatingly, existentially terrible.” Yet, apparently Kardashian has not been put off the small screen for life. Sources indicate she is willing to move past the debacle to work with the director once more, even as the industry scrutinizes her performance history.
The new show would center on Farina, who charges around $750 an hour to consult with clients, decode medical jargon, and connect them with the right doctor for whatever tweak, tuck, or new face they are after. Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly a client of the high-priced broker. While it is unclear how Kardashian would be involved, she and Farina do have a striking resemblance. The family connection runs deep, as her mother Kris Jenner got her much talked about facelift from one of Farina’s favorite plastic surgeons to work with: Park Avenue doctor, Steven M. Levine. This relationship caused a boost in Levine’s business immediately following the disclosure.
If this works out, it would be her third show with the creator, following “Nip/Tuck” era dramas and recent ventures. Farina herself has provided dramatic contour for the plot, having gotten into legal spats with beauty influencers. She has publicly accused two of the industry’s best-known doctors of botching procedures, with one suing her before the case was settled out of court. News of the show’s development was first reported in Carson Griffith’s Substack “Rich People Sh-t.” Reps for Murphy, Kardashian, and Farina did not return request for comment, leaving the speculation to simmer in the court of public opinion.
Murphy seems to have an obsession with chasing perfection, having created “Nip/Tuck,” which ran from 2003 to 2010. His recent show “Beauty,” starring Bella Hadid, is about a virus that makes people gorgeous but carries fatal effects. The connection to plastic surgery and image manipulation is a recurring theme in his work. Kardashian’s family famously know the subject matter well, making the casting choice a logical fit for the narrative. However, the shadow of the previous failure looms large over this potential partnership.
