That's not a career resurgence — that's a full-court press. Zen Room, which Oteri co-wrote with Ashley Joyce, is a mockumentary-style workplace comedy set in small-town middle America. Oteri stars as what the official description calls "a business-savvy partner on house arrest, whose antics spark chaos and heart in equal measure." Joyce plays Lauren, described as "a genuine idealist driving change in a quirky town, with a real passion for yoga/wellness and community." The cast also includes Lisa Beasley, Aaron Latterell, senior students, ex-cheerleaders, and bartenders — the full ensemble of small-town Americana that has become its own genre.
Layne Marie Williams directs, while Jon Silver serves as executive producer. The show takes direct aim at the yoga and wellness industrial complex while ostensibly celebrating community — a tricky needle to thread in 2026, when wellness influencers command more cultural real estate than most politicians.
