The Spin

Ted Horning is being positioned as the creative visionary who will help Giovanni Entertainment reach the next level—someone who's paid his dues in the trenches and now gets to run point on a genuinely stacked slate. Guidotti's glowing quote frames this as a momentum play, not just another hire.

The Tea

Insiders note that snagging Horning from Flynn Picture Co.—where he worked on 'Jungle Cruise,' 'Red Notice,' and 'Black Adam'—is a significant get for Giovanni Entertainment. The company is clearly trying to build out serious development muscle, and pulling someone with relationships at the studio level could pay major dividends.

The Receipts

Horning will report directly to CEO Giovanni James Guidotti AND Chief Media Officer Mark Korshak—a dual reporting structure that signals how seriously they view this hire. He's based at The Lot at Formosa offices alongside executive Alexandra Carbone, and his nearly decade of experience includes stints as story editor at Flynn Picture Co. and PA work at Lakeshore Entertainment.

The Last Byte

With a slate featuring Vince Vaughn, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Paul Dano, Michael Shannon, and Mira Sorvino across multiple high-profile projects, Giovanni Entertainment is clearly playing for keeps—and Horning just became the newest chess piece in their game.

Giovanni Entertainment has made its move. The Los Angeles-based production and finance company announced Wednesday that it's brought Teodros "Ted" Horning on board as a creative executive, a hire that signals the company's ambitions to become a more formidable player in the independent film space. Horning, who will oversee Giovanni Entertainment's film and new media slate, comes with serious pedigree.

He spent nearly a decade climbing the ranks at Flynn Picture Co., most recently serving as story editor where he collaborated on major studio titles including "Jungle Cruise," "Red Notice," and "Black Adam." Before that, he started his career grinding it out as a production assistant at Lakeshore Entertainment before landing as producer's assistant to Beau Flynn and Scott Sheldon. That's the kind of trajectory that builds executives who understand every layer of the business—which is exactly what Guidotti said he's looking for.

"Ted is exactly the kind of executive we wanted to bring into the fold—someone who has grown up in the development process and has the creative instincts and industry relationships to match," said CEO Giovanni James Guidotti in a statement. "He's joining us at a moment of real momentum, and we couldn't be more excited to have him on the team." The company certainly isn't short on momentum. Giovanni Entertainment's current slate reads like a who's who of Hollywood talent: Ramin Bahrani's romantic thriller "Vegas: A Love Story" features Maika Monroe, Brandon Sklenar, Paul Dano, and Michael Shannon; the survival thriller "In Tandem" stars Emile Hirsch and Benjamin Norris; Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino headlines the drama "That One Beautiful Day"; and S.

Craig Zahler's upcoming film "The Bookie and The Bruiser" brings together Vince Vaughn, Theo James, and Patrick Schwarzenegger with Guidotti and Mark Korshak serving as executive producers. Horning will be based out of Giovanni Entertainment's offices at The Lot at Formosa, joining executive Alexandra Carbone on the creative side. He'll report directly to both Guidotti and Chief Media Officer Mark Korshak—a dual-chain structure that underscores how integral this hire is to the company's next chapter.

Horning himself expressed genuine excitement about the opportunity in his first public comments since the announcement. "Giovanni Entertainment has put together one of the most exciting independent slates out there right now, and I'm genuinely honored to be part of it," Horning said. "I came up learning every layer of this business, and I'm looking forward to putting all of that to work alongside Giovanni and Mark as we keep building."
